Day 9 Napowrimo Poetry Challenge - Sonnet (traditional or untraditional)

 The Summer of My Life

The Summer of my life,
It lasted six years
And as summers happen to be...
It was hot, warming my heart
The days were long getting lost in the moments

And as summers happen to be...
There were storms where the thunder crashed
And the rain poured
But the sun always came back out
The season lived on... until it didn't.

The summer of my life.
It lasted six years.
The days are short & cold.
The moments are gone,
There is no more time.

*Challenge
Today, we’d like to challenge you to write your own sonnet. Incorporate tradition as much or as little as you like – while keeping in general to the theme of “love.”
